La grammatica
To dream: si tratta di un verbo irregolare, dreamt/dreamt, che significa “sognare”. Mentre in italiano “sognare” è seguito da un complemento oggetto, in inglese to dream è sempre seguito dalla preposizione of (oppure about). Es.: “Laura ha sognato sua sorella”, Laura dreamt of his/her sister.
Attenzione: in inglese americano esiste un’altra forma per fare il passato: qual è?
